The way I work on the sprite packs is in waves. I first draw everything on a single massive megasheet, then extract objects into their individual packages.
Just wanted to share how it looks behind the scenes:
Everything is very rough and only the silhouette/outlines and approximate scale matter at this point, no finer details or shading yet.
Once the megasheet grows to a certain size limit, I switch to refining each individual object pixel by pixel with proper lines, shading, proportions and values.
This is only the first stage and I’m almost at the half-way point. The other half will be guns. Lots of guns.
